Remote Income
Tracker Template
Track applications, freelance work, and digital income streams in one simple spreadsheet.
How to use this
Copy this structure into your own spreadsheet
Open Google Sheets or Excel, create a new blank sheet, and set up these six columns as your header row. The table below shows the structure with a few example rows filled in — delete the examples once you understand the format and start logging your own.
| Date | Source / Client | Type | Status | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-06-02 | Acme Co. (job application) | Job application | Applied | — | Referred by [contact] |
| 2026-06-05 | Jane D. (freelance) | Freelance gig | Paid | £450 | Copywriting project, 2 revisions |
| 2026-06-10 | Prompt Library (Gumroad) | Digital product | Ongoing | £38 | 4 sales this month so far |
Column notes
• Type: job application, freelance gig, or digital product
• Status: use whatever stages fit — applied, interviewing, paid, ongoing, closed
• Amount: leave blank until money actually changes hands
• Notes: anything worth remembering later — who referred you, what worked
Make it useful
Add a simple SUM formula at the bottom of the Amount column to see total income at a glance. Filter by Type to see which income stream is actually working, and by Status to see what still needs follow-up.
